The Red Light Ensemble premieres commissioned works by Red Light composers
Scott Wollschleger and
Vincent Raikhel. Having worked alongside one another for several years, the concert will highlight the cross pollination which both composers have had upon one another. These works will be partnered with works by
Erik Satie which will be performed alongside films by French pioneer
George Melies.

University of California, San Diego Residency Concert

Red Light culminates a week-long residency at the University of California, San Diego with performances of works by UCSD composers Charlie Wilmoth, Dan Tacke, Carolyn Chen, David Wightman, Tania Lanfer and Vincent Raikhel. Many of the works are collaborative efforts with Visual Artists in the Southern California area who will make use of light and film alongside the new works.

Nils Vigeland, a mentor and inspiration to members of the Red Light New Music collective. The Red Light Ensemble will premiere his new work
Keep it (Red) Light, and also perform
reading, a work commissioned by Red Light in 2006, and
Ives Music I for piano trio. The program is completed with works by Vigeland's favorite composers:
Morton Feldman's Duration I and four songs by
Charles Ives in new arrangements by Red Light composers Christopher Cerrone, Vincent Raikhel, Liam Robinson, and Scott Wollschleger. Performances by the Red Light Ensemble, joined by Nils Vigeland.

Red Light New Music is the resident ensemble at the USINESONORE FESTIVAL in Switzerland. Red Light will perform works by John Cage, Morton Feldman, Iannis Xenakis, Scott Wollschleger and Vincent Raikhel. The ensemble will additionally perform a live score made up of orchestrated pieces of Erik Satie to the George Méličs Film The Merry Frolics of Satan. Performences by John Popham, Yegor Shevtsov, Kevin Sims and Erin Wight.
